The Stick SpeedReader is a document camera based scan and read appliance designed for simple, fast and accurate reading.  Simply place a book, magazine, news paper, letter on the document positioning mat, press the scan button, and the speed reader instantly starts reading to you out loud with its highquality human like text to speech voices.   All functions operate via a simple keypad that include: a scan and read button, reading pause button, two document navigation buttons, Column reading control button, and Reading Speed button.  This tiny footprint system weighs less than 9 pounds and the high resolution document camera folds and retracts into its telescopic stand for efficient storage.  Also, an optional travel case is with handle is available for easy transport and added protection.
